The Astakos Port Terminal is the biggest private industrial port in Greece, and one of the biggest private investments of the area. It is combined with an industrial zone that has been designed to accommodate the needs of heavy industrial installations. It has an area of 1,500,000 sq.m. and can accommodate up to PANAMAX size vessels.

The wastewater collection works include the main sewers pipeline, pumping station and twin pressure mains.
The wastewater treatment plant includes the full extent of necessary substructures designed to provide for the 3-stage treatment of an 18.000 equivalent population of industrial wastes. The project  included the full spectrum of civil and mechanical engineering design.
The final discharge pipes include the collector pipe transporting the effluent from the WWT plant to the sea, incuding an underwater pipeline and all the auxilliary structures.
